UBS Arena, developed by S.D. Malkin Properties, is the home of the New York Islanders ice hockey team and is a groundbreaking concert venue. Located within the historic Belmont Park, the Arena is the first of a new generation of arenas – purpose built, with a focus on the experience of its guests. With timeless design reminiscent of iconic New York architecture, including Grand Central Station and the Park Avenue Armoury, the Arena sets a new standard in sports and music venue entertainment. The Arena achieved Zero Waste TRUE Silver certification in May 2024 in addition to its LEED Green Building Certification and carbon neutrality for operations.
The Arena, spanning 700,000 square feet, can host 17,000 guests for a hockey game and between 15,000 and 19,000 for a concert. The Arena’s VIP Clubs and suites are inspired by the classic interiors of the King Cole Bar at the St Regis Hotel and Sardi’s. The Arena is also the location for the Isles Lab, a store dedicated to selling the team’s merchandise and curated by the team behind Value Retail.
UBS Arena was chosen as the location for the MTV 2024 Video Music Awards and has hosted concerts, with Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, the Eagles, John Mayer, Post Malone, SUGA from BTS and Andrea Bocelli being among the performing artists to date.
